Five Things to Know About Idris Elba
On Sunday night, Idris Elba walked away with a Golden Globe – and even more female admirers.
Elba, 39, won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie for Luther, a BBC series about a troubled detective.
He's already been named one of PEOPLE's sexiest men of the year, but after picking up a trophy at the Globes, we have a feeling he's only going to get hotter. Get to know more about the London-born actor:
1. He's not a bad guy, he just plays one on TV
Elba is perhaps best known for the role of drug kingpin Stringer Bell on HBO's The Wire. Playing a ruthless figure made him popular with both women and men, resulting in what Elba referred to as "Stringer mania."
"Bad guys are attractive to women period, and most are not afraid to admit that," Elba told PEOPLE. "Guys respond to his stealth, his ruthlessness, and the way the man calculates every situation."
2. He's a softie when it comes to his daughter
While he may have a knack for playing tough guys, he's anything but around his little girl, Isan. He and ex-wife Dormowa Sherma welcomed their daughter in 2002. Isan lives in Atlanta, so Elba splits his time between that city and his native Britain.
"My daughter brings me lots of joy, seeing her grow and relate to me and learn – that is a lot of joy, man," Elba told PEOPLE. "She gets me very emotional and happy, my little momma."
Peter Dinklage's Globes Speech: Who is Martin Henderson?
Peter Dinklage gave a fairly standard acceptance after receiving the Golden Globe for Best Supporting TV Actor on Sunday. But it was his mention of "a gentleman in England I'm thinking about, Martin Henderson" that left people scratching their heads.
Instead of elaborating, the actor told the audience to "Google him" and within minutes Henderson's name was trending on Twitter.
Turns out, Henderson is a fellow dwarf and aspiring actor, who was badly injured after a stranger picked him up and threw him in England last October. He has not been able to walk properly since the incident.
Henderson believes the attack was inspired by English rugby team players, who attended a dwarf-tossing contest during the rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
Thanks to the shout-out from the Game of Thrones Golden Globe winner – who like, Henderson suffer from achondroplasia, which causes dwarfirsm – these sort of attacks have been brought to light.
William & Kate: New Dog in the Family?
Is there a new addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's household?
That appears to be the case, as the couple take a romantic stroll in North Wales just a few days after Kate turned 30.
At their countryside surroundings, the two snuggled as they walked along the edge of the sea with a new, four-legged friend trotting with them along the damp sand.
Kasey Kahl Arrested for Drunk and Disorderly Conduct
What started as innocent fun with friends turned into an arrest for reality star Kasey Kahl – and one heck of a mug shot.
The former Bachelor Pad and Bachelorette star, 27 – who is also the ex-boyfriend of Vienna Girardi – was taken into custody at 2:47 a.m. Sunday at Club Habanos in Fresno, Calif., authorities tell E! Online.
Kahl was booked on a drunk-and-disorderly-conduct charge, and released around 8:30 a.m.
His rep Richard Harlow tells PEOPLE Kahl is "shaken by the circumstances," but also "a bit confused as to what happened."
"Kasey and his friends were hanging out outside of the club where police officers allegedly thought they were being too loud," Harlow says. "Kasey, along with a couple friends, were taken to the police station, but were released a couple hours later. No charges were or have been filed against him."
Golden Globe Winner Matt LeBlanc Reveals His Lucky Charm
Hopefully Matt LeBlanc knows of a good dry-cleaning service.
Showtime's Episodes star, 44, who won a Golden Globe for best lead actor in a TV musical or comedy on Sunday, says he owes it all to the Otto suit he donned at the awards show.
"This is the winning tuxedo," LeBlanc told PEOPLE at the InStyle/Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty. "This is the lucky one."
LeBlanc said he owns "five or six" tuxedos altogether, and explained that he was shocked when he won.
Jessica Biel Goes Sans Engagement Ring at Golden Globes
Perhaps it didn't look right next to all her other bling?
Jessica Biel was highly bejeweled at Sunday's Golden Globes, but one notable adornment was missing – her engagement ring from fiancé Justin Timberlake.
The actress, 29, was sporting a load of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a stitches diamond ring in platinum and 18-karat yellow gold (designed by Jean Schlumberger, worth $25,000), as well as five diamond metro band rings set in 18-karat yellow gold (worth $1,900 each).
But her left ring finger was bare, with no sign of the custom-designed ring that Timberlake, 30, reportedly proposed with in Montana.
Beyoncé Is Already a Wonderful Mom, Destiny's Child Pals Say
Beyoncé just brought baby Blue Ivy Carter home from the hospital but motherhood, according to her former Destiny's Child bandmates, is as natural for the pop star as dancing in stilettos and a leotard.
"She's doing fabulous," Michelle Williams told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the taping of the 2012 BET Honors in Washington, D.C., on Saturday
"She was born to be a mother," Kelly Rowland added at the show, which will air Feb. 13. She's wonderful."
According to Williams, Beyoncé has what it takes to be a great mother to baby Blue. "She has such compassion for people and humanity, period," she said.
Why Jenna Burke Was a Mess After Getting Booted from The Bachelor
Hiding in the bathroom, breaking down in tears on multiple occasions, arriving late to the rose ceremony on The Bachelor, blogger Jenna Burke even appeared to have a hard time completing a sentence in front of Ben Flajnik.
But when the 27-year-old New Yorker spoke with reporters after being booted, she was shockingly calm, well-spoken – and even able to laugh about her "obvious breakdown."
Why such a hot mess?
[I thought] it was perfect timing. I was changing my career, getting over a breakup and ready for a life change. I wanted the experience and to see if I could find love. But it was more intense than I anticipated.
Ben Flajnik 'Not Ready' for Bachelor 'S–– Storm'
I think Mötley Crüe said it best: "Home Sweet Home." San Francisco is the one place on the globe where I am truly happy and feel completely myself. I was so excited to show these women this amazing city and get to know everyone so much better.
The dates this week on The Bachelor were really awesome, as well, and I couldn't wait to go on them.
Let's start with hands down the craziest thing I have ever done in my life – climbing to the top of the Bay Bridge.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Welcome a Baby Girl
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are now Mom and Dad!
The singer, whose pregnancy was closely watched and the subject of various rumors, gave birth to a baby girl in New York on Saturday, according to her hometown paper. Mom and baby are doing fine, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Sources tell E! News the little girl's name is Blue Ivy Carter.
Apparently, she's a looker. "The most beautiful girl in the world," Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, Tweeted Sunday morning.
Friends of the superstar couple also used Twitter to offer public messages of congratulations:
"Welcome to the world princess Carter!" Rihanna Tweeted Saturday night. "Love Aunty Rih."
"Welcome to the world Blue!" Gwyneth Paltrow wrote on her Twitter page Sunday morning. "We love you already."
Russell Simmons also acknowledged the new parents on Twitter: "congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z," he said.
Beyoncé, 30, checked into Lenox Hill Hospital on New York's Upper East Side on Friday, more than a month before her previously stated due date in February.
On Thursday, the singer was photographed out in the city covering her baby bump with a black blazer and a flowing scarf.
Despite buzz that the singer had given birth to a baby girl over New Year's weekend, Jay-Z and an "enormously pregnant" Beyoncé were spotted enjoying a dinner on Dec. 31 at Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The first-time mom announced she was expecting at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
BLACK BEAUTIES
George Clooney and his frequent companion, girlfriend Stacy Keibler, make a stunning pair (she's in Alexander McQueen) at the 23nd annual Palm Springs International Film Festival awards gala on Saturday. Clooney's secret to getting through red carpet season? "Drinking," he says. "Drinking and passing out."
Hillary Scott Marries Chris Tyrrell
Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott and drummer Chris Tyrrell have tied the knot!
"I'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Hillary Scott Tyrrell," Chris, who popped the question at sunset in East Tennessee last Fourth of July weekend, says in a video posted to Lady Antebellum's official website.
"We got married!" Scott, 25, says as she flashes a wedding ring. "We just wanted you to hear it from us first. We love you. We're so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news."
The couple were married on Saturday in Upstate New York in front of family and close friends, a Lady Antebellum rep tells PEOPLE.
The video contains footage of Scott in her custom Vera Wang strapless mermaid dress with hand-applied crystal and pearl beading. She's also wearing a mantilla veil with hand-cut chantilly lace applique and holding white flowers. Tyrrell is wearing a gray suit by Ermenegildo Zegna with a black shirt and a gray tie.
Steven Curtis Chapman sang for the couple's first dance, according to the rep. And although Scott's Lady Antebellum bandmates Charles Kelley and recently engaged Dave Haywood were not able to attend the intimate ceremony, "They look forward to celebrating with both Hillary and Chris in the coming weeks," the rep said.
"Everything is brighter. Everything has a deeper meaning," Scott said recently of being engaged. "I've found a guy who truly embraces me for who I am and appreciates the things that I don't necessarily love about myself."
